Why Locals Love Pizzico

Nestled in the charming 18th arrondissement of Paris, Pizzico is a delightful pizza restaurant that brings authentic Italian flavors right to the heart of Montmartre. With its cozy, vintage-inspired interior and inviting sidewalk patio, Pizzico offers more than just a meal—it promises a genuine Parisian dining experience infused with the warmth of Italy’s culinary traditions.

The menu celebrates classic Italian fare, with standout dishes like perfectly baked wood-fired pizzas boasting a harmonious balance of fresh toppings and melt-in-your-mouth dough. Pasta lovers will find themselves enchanted by options such as handmade ravioli bathed in rich tomato sauces, which one guest described as “just amazing.” The generous portions make each visit satisfying, whether you’re indulging in a casual lunch or savoring a leisurely dinner accompanied by a fine selection of wines.

Dining at Pizzico is as much about atmosphere as it is about food. The intimate setting, complemented by friendly and attentive staff, creates a homey vibe that many patrons have praised. Sitting on the patio while the evening Parisian rain gently falls, as one customer fondly recalls, only adds to the memorable sensory experience—pairing the delicate aromas of Italian herbs with the fresh city air.

Though modest in size, this hidden gem is unapologetically authentic and approachable. Prices are fair for Paris, making it a favorite spot for locals and visitors seeking genuine Italian cuisine without the tourist trap feel. Whether you’re craving a traditional pizza or indulging in expertly crafted pasta, Pizzico stands out as a rare find in a bustling city, inviting you back time and time again.

If you find yourself wandering near Rue de Clignancourt, Pizzico is an Italian haven that warmly welcomes all who appreciate great food, good company, and the simple joy of savoring moments in a cozy, inviting space.

Hidden gem in Montmartre... An italian place to hang out with great food options. Pasta and pizza were amazing, equally tasty to the original italian flavours. Prices were normal, service was also very good.

Nice little restaurant close to Montmartre. Is quite small and has an old vintage look, but the food is surprisingly good and the prices reasonable for Paris. Definitely a place to go.

Great location and great option for Italian food! Portions are big and the atmosphere is cozy. Indoor and outdoor seating, although outdoor seating is roadside (dust). But, that’s just an observation and not criticism as they’ve done what they needed to do with space limitations. Good variety of food and the taste was good. Had a very homey feel and would return!

I didn't expect the food to be that delicious, however, it was really worth it! The prices are also alright.

We visited Pizzico twice this week. English is not their strong suit but they are bilingual so no worries trying to order food. We mostly had Pizza which is like most European places but the crust is really good here! Not over done with toppings, not over or under cooked, just great pizza. Lasagna was good, he under estimated the size of it so I got a soup as well… I would have been ok with just the lasagna. It also came with a small side salad. The soup was the onion soup which is not what I was expecting. Expecting the rich, dark, salty French onion soup… it was what I would describe as a garden style soup with just onions. Tasty without being onion over powering. If you were French, this would be a great hangout with a group of friends. The main guy who seems to be there every evening is certainly a friendly guy. Took two visits to warm up to us. Certainly a great stop for an evening out, even with a 13yr old.
